Poverty in the History of Economics

In the history of economics, most important economists have inquired into poverty, and sought to find solutions for it. For a long time, mass poverty has been the most impor­tant problem, even though the word, mass poverty, was not employed. Main authors in the history of economics tackled the mass poverty as their main issue, but at the same time they did not neglect the universal type of poverty.
